Hugging your Baby More Makes them Smarter, New Research Reveals

Latest research reveals the more you hug your kids – the smarter they get

"Certain genes get shot down (closed) because of lack of mother's care," Neurology research proves. As grown-ups, such children don't have motherly instincts.

When our first son was born, the doctor told us not to hug our baby too much, but to leave it to suit itself. I tried, but soon I realized this approach is very wrong. Western medicine is dominated by humanism, which is very materialistic - ignorant of the heart and soul of the human being.
If you are the kind of parent that enjoys hugging your kids, you are both, helping the best development of your child and developing your heart as a parent at the same time.

According to new research, physical affection during a baby’s development period is way more important than we thought. The more you hug a baby, the more their brains grow, according to a recent survey from the Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Ohio.

In my post-communist country is common thinking not to hug the baby too much, so that it's not gonna get spoiled. This is the result of 40 years of materialistic ideology, denying the human spirit. But our doctor in the USA also told us to leave the baby cry, not hugging it, supposedly to learn to relax by itself. Don't do that to your baby. It's really wrong. That's where you see that Humanism and Communism have the same wrong, materialistic ideological base. Actually, that's a common practice in the West; to put the baby in a separate bedroom. Not to bother them when it cries. Which is really inhuman.
The study included 125 babies, both premature and full-term, and looked specifically at how they responded to being physically touched. But surely babies that were subjected to more affection by parents or hospital staff showed stronger brain response. They found that a baby's earliest experiences of being touched shape the somatosensory brain scaffolding linked to cognitive, perceptual, and social development. In another study, researchers found that touching and caressing has also a strong calming and healing effect.

Skin-to-Skin Contact Improves Child-Parent Bonding

According to researcher Dr. Nathalie Maitre, this tells us that something as simple as body contact or rocking your baby in your arms will make a big difference in how their brains develop. Not to mention, how their spirit develops.

“Making sure that preterm babies receive positive, supportive touch such as skin-to-skin care by parents is essential to help their brains respond to gentle touch in ways similar to those of babies who experienced an entire pregnancy inside their mother’s womb,” Maitre tells Science Daily.

Basically, affection is vital for the development of the brain. So, cuddle and hug your babies as much as you can – and don’t forget to share this research to show everyone out there how important it is to be loving to our children!

In an October 2015 statement to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), neonatologist Natalia Isaza Brando from the Children's National Health System in Washington, DC, said,

"We already know there are physiological benefits in the newborns when they are held skin-to-skin, such as stabilization of heart rate, breathing patterns and blood oxygen levels, gains in sleep time and weight, decreased crying, greater breastfeeding success and earlier hospital discharge.
Now we have more evidence that skin-to-skin contact can also decrease parental stress that can interfere with bonding, health and emotional wellness, and the interpersonal relations of parents, as well as breastfeeding rates. This is a simple technique to benefit both parent and child that perhaps should be encouraged in all NICUs."
As parents we out giving our children the best possible start in life – both in body and in mind. Our children are spiritual beings and they deserve the best environment of love. From the earliest stages of their development, they absorb the vibrations of their environment. Make sure that's always an environment of love, care, and harmony.

Benefits of Breastfeeding and Hugging the Baby

In the earliest stages of a baby's development, while adjusting to the external world, the intimacy of breastfeeding helps the child cope with the stress of its new life. It can also help to provide a feeling of safety, continuity and reassurance. Additionally, nursing can help the child to develop simple feelings of attachment, love and affection through natural bonding.

In some research studies, it has been found that children who were breastfed were generally more likely to be assertive, confident and mature during their developmental years. Some reports suggest that, in the long term, breastfed children are less likely to develop behavioral, learning and psychological issues.

Much of the credit for this can be given to the intimacy and bond that is created through the practice. For example, nursing allows the child to be given undivided attention, which may play a large part in the building of confidence. Mothers who breastfeed are more likely to talk to, hug and stroke their children while feeding, which may aid in the development of a sociable or affectionate nature later in life.

Never ignore a crying baby

Ignoring them can lead to serious problems, affecting negatively their development. The stress and insecurity will increase their aggression, impulsive behavior and violence later in life. Ignoring crying babies suppresses their immune systems, making them more vulnerable to a number of serious diseases. Babies who were ignored did not develop healthy social skills and have difficulty controlling their emotions.

Longer separation from the mother leads to hormonal changes, resulting in stress and other problems in adulthood. Crying is their way of communication and should receive an appropriate and positive response. There are a number of ways to calm a crying baby; breastfeeding, familiar sound, skin-to-skin contact.
